STEVE L. BERGESON



 
 

Steve Bergeson’s law practice emphasizes two primary areas - criminal defense and civil litigation. Steve serves on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL) and is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and the Minnesota Bar Association.

With 30 years of experience, Steve concentrates his practice in criminal defense and civil litigation. He has defended numerous clients in state and federal court on charges ranging from murder to criminal sexual conduct, drug distribution, assault, possession of child pornography, mail fraud, prostitution, and DWI.

Mr. Bergeson’s civil practice includes representation as plaintiff or defense counsel in a broad spectrum of matters including real estate disputes, fraud, breach of contract, and personal injury cases.

ANNE HEIMKES TUTTLE

 

For almost twenty years, Ms. Tuttle has been practicing in the areas of family law, estate planning and probate matters, including conservatorship and guardianship matters. Ms. Tuttle’s extensive experience in family law matters has given her the skills to handle the most difficult and complex family matters, including contested custody proceedings. Ms. Tuttle has extensive trial experience in all these areas.

Ms. Tuttle is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Scott County Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in state and federal courts as well as Shakopee Mdewakantan Sioux Tribal Court. She also works in the area of collaborative divorce and has a philosophy of implementing alternative dispute resolution wherever possible to resolve contested issues. She is currently serving on the Eighth District Ethics Committee and appears before the Minnesota Court of Appeals on a regular basis. Ms. Tuttle is Rule 114 qualified and is experienced as a mediator, parenting consultant, parenting time expeditor and custody evaluator.  Ms. Tuttle is a graduate from William Mitchell College of Law and received her undergraduate degree in Speech Communication from the University of Minnesota. CHRISTOPHER S. PETROS

 

Since his admission to the Bar, Mr. Petros has established a reputation as a highly skilled attorney with an emphasis in representing clients in the areas of criminal matters, family law, civil commitments, guardianships, employment, personal injury and social security.  Mr. Petros became a partner of Tuttle Bergeson Petros Law Firm in 2006.  Christopher practices in all state courts. He is also licensed to practice in federal court. Christopher is on the panel of attorneys to represent individuals in civil commitment matters in Hennepin County. Mr. Petros is also licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.

Mr. Petros is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, Ramsey County Bar Association and serves on the Eighth District Ethics Committee. He is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and received his B.A. in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

CHRISTINA WALTERS


 

Christina Walters received her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 2009 after receiving her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2005. Ms. Walters joined Tuttle Bergeson Petros Law Office in 2011 after clerking in the First District Court.

Ms. Walters represents clients in the areas of family law, civil litigation, guardianships, commitments, and estate planning. Ms. Walters is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota and Rule 114 qualified.

LAURA SCHULTZ

 

 

Laura Schultz received her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2006 after receiving her B.A. in Psychology/Criminal Justice from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2003. Ms. Schultz joined Tuttle Bergeson Petros Law Office in 2009 after clerking in Hennepin County District Court, and clerking for the Office of the Federal Defender.

Ms. Schultz represents clients in the areas of family law, civil litigation, guardianships, commitments, and estate planning. Ms. Schultz is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota and in the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Tribal Court.
